Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic evaluations and personalized occupational therapy treatment plans to help patients reach their maximum level of function
• Design and administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, range of motion, and fine-motor coordination
• Instruct patients and families in adaptive techniques, adaptive equipment use, energy conservation, and safe transfer methods
• Consult on environmental design, adaptive equipment, positioning, splinting, and collaborate with local schools and care agencies
• Train patients in upper-extremity prosthetic use and prevocational programs to support return-to-work goals
• Perform home assessments and develop home programs to support community reintegration
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation and participate in departmental quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Current valid Washington State Occupational Therapist license required (or in process of obtaining)
• One year of OT experience preferred; new grads are welcome and encouraged to apply
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies
• Reliable, punctual, and able to complete mandatory education and participate in departmental meetings

Education

• Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
