Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled PTA services by implementing individualized treatment plans and delivering hands-on care
- Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional training to help patients reach goals
- Monitor and document patient progress clearly and promptly to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with PTs, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies, and activity modifications
- Maintain a safe, professional treatment environment and adhere to infection control and facility policies
Qualifications
- Licensed PTA in Montana or able to obtain Montana PTA licensure prior to start
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Clinical experience as a PTA preferred; open to new grads with strong clinical skills and mentorship readiness
- Strong communication, time management, and documentation skills
Education
- Associate degree or certificate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercise, gait training, and balance programs
- Skilled in manual techniques and patient mobilization
- Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation
- Ability to assess patient progress and report changes to supervising PT
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient-centered care and team collaboration
