Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled PTA services by implementing individualized treatment plans and delivering hands-on care
• Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional training to help patients reach goals
• Monitor and document patient progress clearly and promptly to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with PTs, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies, and activity modifications
• Maintain a safe, professional treatment environment and adhere to infection control and facility policies

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA in Montana or able to obtain Montana PTA licensure prior to start
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Clinical experience as a PTA preferred; open to new grads with strong clinical skills and mentorship readiness
• Strong communication, time management, and documentation skills

Education

• Associate degree or certificate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic exercise, gait training, and balance programs
• Skilled in manual techniques and patient mobilization
• Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation
• Ability to assess patient progress and report changes to supervising PT
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient-centered care and team collaboration
