Shift Type: Per diem nights (schedule varies), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities — bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting — with dignity and respect
- Provide safe transfer and positioning support to keep residents comfortable and secure
- Observe and report physical or behavioral changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support mealtime needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of care activities and resident interactions
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and team members
- Foster a warm, encouraging environment by engaging residents in conversation and activities
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or state-recognized equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus, but enthusiastic learners are welcome
- Comfort with night shift routines and working independently during overnight hours
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- GNA certificate or completion of an approved nursing assistant training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong resident-centered care and compassion for older adults
- Basic knowledge of ADLs, transfers and safe patient handling
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with nurses and staff
- Attention to detail for documentation and observation reporting
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately
