Shift Type: Per diem schedule, days as scheduled, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift, day)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance
- Assist with safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Support mealtime needs and monitor dietary intake
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff promptly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and interventions
- Promote a clean, safe, and respectful environment that preserves dignity
Qualifications
- GNA certification required (Geriatric Nursing Assistant)
- Active/state-appropriate certification or eligibility to obtain Maryland GNA certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or geriatric settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited GNA training program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfort with ADLs (activities of daily living) and geriatric care practices
- Basic infection control and safe hygiene techniques
- Ability to follow care plans and physician/nursing instructions
- Good observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
- Professional, empathetic bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Reliable documentation and time-management abilities
