Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate and provide teching support during advanced endoscopic procedures such as EUS and ERCP
• Prepare the procedure room, equipment, and supplies to ensure smooth, efficient cases
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and maintain thorough procedural records
• Monitor patient status in the acute care setting, responding promptly to changes and escalations
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the care team to deliver safe, patient-centered care
• Participate in orientation activities and demonstrate competency on the orientation exam
• Adhere to infection control and unit policies, including fingernail/artificial nail standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Nebraska
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience (endoscopy/GI or acute care preferred)
• Strong circulating and teching experience for advanced endoscopic procedures (EUS, ERCP)
• Familiarity with EPIC charting; recent EPIC experience within 6 months preferred
• Experience with CHI or Dignity Health systems is a plus
• Ability to complete orientation requirements and pass the open-book competency exam (90% pass threshold)
• Willingness to comply with unit policies (for example, no artificial nails) and required onboarding timelines (RTO within 7 days for this 13-week assignment)

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma; BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven circulating and teching skills in Endoscopy/GI
• Hands-on experience with advanced endoscopic procedures including EUS and ERCP
• Proficient EPIC documentation and electronic charting skills
• Strong acute care assessment and patient monitoring abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced procedural suite
• Understanding of infection control practices and peri-procedural safety
