Shift Type: Monday & Tuesday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (Night); plus one additional 12-hour night shift on Med/Surg each week (12-hour night, start time may vary)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients using the nursing process and develop individualized care plans
- Provide direct patient care across ER and Med-Surg settings with a focus on safety and best practice
- Implement interventions and evaluate patient responses to ensure high-quality outcomes
- Direct and coordinate ancillary personnel to support efficient, patient-centered care
- Lead and reinforce patient and family education to promote recovery and self-care
- Maintain professional nursing standards and accurate documentation at all times
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required)
- Current Iowa RN license (required)
- BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (required prior to start)
- Experience in Emergency and/or Medical-Surgical nursing preferred but not required — we welcome confident learners
- Completion of required immunizations, drug screen, TB testing, and physical within required timeframes
- Clear criminal background checks for all states of licensure/residence in the past 7 years
- Completion of CareLearning education modules and Iowa Mandatory Reporter certificates prior to start
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
- Strong patient assessment and triage skills in emergency settings
- Med-Surg clinical judgment for effective inpatient care
- Patient education and teaching tailored to diverse needs
- Ability to coordinate and direct ancillary staff and support team workflows
- Comfort with required clinical certifications and hospital credentialing processes
- Adaptability for fast-paced night-shift environments
