Shift Type: Per Diem (as-needed; days vary), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (Night shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with kindness and respect
- Provide safe and attentive night-time care, including toileting assistance and fall prevention
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and handoffs
- Communicate compassionately with residents and families to support comfort and dignity
- Collaborate with nursing staff to follow care plans and ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- GNA certification (required) or equivalent state credential
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Eligible for or listed on Maryland nurse aide registry
- Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and required immunizations
- Comfort working night shifts and providing hands-on care in a long-term care setting
- Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate approach
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved GNA program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Skilled in safe resident handling, mobility assistance, and fall prevention
- Basic vital signs monitoring and recognizing changes in condition
- Accurate charting and documentation practices
- Infection control, hand hygiene, and personal protective equipment use
- Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize resident safety
