Shift Type: Rotating night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour nights). Schedule runs in 4-week blocks and includes weekends — minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered critical care in a 31-bed MICU, maintaining safety and compassion
- Manage advanced life support including ventilator management and EV1000 hemodynamic monitoring
- Operate and oversee renal replacement therapies such as CRRT and SLED
- Perform and assist with invasive procedures and device care: central and arterial lines, chest tubes, lumbar punctures, and EVDs
- Document accurately and timely in Meditech to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, unit secretaries, techs, and leadership to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide clear, empathetic communication and education to patients and families during high-acuity situations
- Participate in unit scheduling, adhere to floating policies, and help maintain staffing stability
Qualifications
- Active RN license (required)
- ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- Experience with ventilator management and CRRT/SLED
- Comfortable with advanced ICU procedures and critical care equipment
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour night shifts and meet weekend requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- ICU nursing fundamentals and advanced critical care practices
- Ventilator management and respiratory support
- Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and SLED
- Familiarity with EV1000 monitoring and other hemodynamic tools
- Meditech documentation system proficiency
- Skill with central and arterial line care, chest tubes, lumbar punctures, and EVD management
- Strong assessment, prioritization, and delegation skills in high-acuity settings
- Teamwork, adaptability, and compassionate patient-family communication
