Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans that provide clinicians with the information needed for fast, accurate diagnoses
- Operate and maintain CT equipment, ensuring imaging quality and patient safety at all times
- Follow imaging protocols and radiation safety standards to protect patients and staff
- Prepare and position patients compassionately, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the Diagnostic Imaging team to deliver seamless patient care
- Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in PACS and other systems
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and coordinate with service teams when needed
- Contribute to a positive, team-first culture by supporting colleagues and sharing best practices
Qualifications
- Current ARRT RT(R) credential required
- Current ARRT (CT) credential required
- Current unencumbered Oregon license in Radiologic Technology required
- Healthcare Provider BLS required
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Ability to work weekend day shifts and provide patient-centered care
Education
- ARRT RT(R) and ARRT (CT) credentials required
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
- Proficiency with PACS, CT consoles, and digital imaging workflows
- Strong patient positioning and radiation safety practices
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to prioritize and manage a weekend caseload efficiently
- Attention to detail for image quality, documentation, and infection control
