Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem nights, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (specific days of week vary / to be scheduled)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with respect and dignity
- Monitor and document resident status including observations of behavior and changes in condition
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report concerns to the nursing team
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care that enhances resident comfort and quality of life
- Help maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection prevention protocols
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and clinical staff to support coordinated care
- Support mobility and transfers while using safe body mechanics and assistive devices
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
- Demonstrated compassion and strong communication skills with older adults
- Comfortable working night shift hours (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with resident care and safe transfers
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding requirements (background check, health screenings, etc.)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic clinical skills: taking vitals, observing and reporting changes
- Person-centered care and dignity preservation for elders
- Infection control and safe hygiene practices
- Accurate documentation and time management
- Teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
- Ability to follow care plans and verbal/written instructions
