Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document resident status, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Assist with meal times, personal hygiene, and maintaining a clean environment
- Collaborate with the care team to follow individualized care plans
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Active LNA certification (VT or NH licensure accepted)
- Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
- Comfortable working night shifts and available for every other weekend and some holidays
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding health requirements
- Previous experience in long term care or similar setting is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved LNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care fundamentals and hands-on experience with ADLs
- Accurate documentation and charting skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow care plans and safety protocols
- Attention to detail and a calm, patient-focused approach
