Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality general X-ray, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging for ED and inpatient populations
- Operate and troubleshoot C-arms and portable units during OR procedures, orthopedic and spine cases
- Provide trauma imaging support in a Level 1 trauma environment with quick, accurate studies
- Utilize Epic and Fuji PACS for timely charting and image management to support clinical teams
- Collaborate with PAs and radiologists (daytime in-house, nights remote) to deliver coordinated care
- Participate in department orientation and equipment overviews to maintain safe, standardized practice
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain required documentation (agency-provided badge required)
Qualifications
- Certified Radiologic Technologist — ARRT required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Minimum 2 years radiology experience, with ability to cover OR procedures and Level 1 trauma cases
- Comfortable operating C-arms and supporting orthopedic/spine imaging in the OR
- Experience with Epic and Fuji PACS strongly preferred
- Valid Driver's License (radius requirement up to 60 miles) and ability to be in-state for orientation
- Agency must provide radiation badge prior to assignment
Knowledge & Skills
- C-arm operation and OR imaging workflows
- General X-ray, fluoroscopy, and portable X-ray techniques
- Trauma imaging protocols for a Level 1 trauma center
- Familiarity with Epic electronic charting and Fuji/enterprise PACS systems
- Experience with GE C-arms, Carestream and Shimadzu portable units
- Strong patient positioning, image quality assessment, and radiation safety practices
