Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and design individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Implement evidence-based interventions to improve daily living, mobility, and independence
• Collaborate closely with nursing, rehab, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Document progress and outcomes clearly and timely in the patient record
• Provide patient, family, and caregiver education to support carryover of therapy goals
• Adapt treatment approaches to meet facility performance expectations and patient needs
• Advocate for patient safety and optimal outcomes while maintaining professional standards

Qualifications

• Active Nebraska Occupational Therapy license (required)
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (required upon hire)
• Previous Occupational Therapy experience preferred but not strictly required — bring your clinical skills and willingness to learn
• Ability to start quickly and meet facility performance expectations for travelers

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, goal-setting, and individualized treatment planning
• Strong documentation and charting abilities
• Comfortable with mobility training, ADL retraining, and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Effective communicator who collaborates well with interdisciplinary teams
• Adaptability to different patient populations and fast-paced clinical environments
