Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and feeding
Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff promptly
Perform routine tasks like vital signs, toileting assistance, and safe transfers
Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
Help maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents
Support resident engagement in daily activities and social interaction

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (or state equivalent) — required
High school diploma or GED preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
Ability to pass background check, drug screen and TB screening as required
Reliable, compassionate, with strong communication and teamwork skills
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus

Education

High School Diploma or GED required
GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of geriatric care principles and resident-centered care
Comfortable with basic clinical tasks: vital signs, transfers, and ADL assistance
Good documentation habits and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, patient bedside manner
Familiarity with infection control practices and HIPAA privacy rules
Ability to work collaboratively with nurses, therapists and other team members
