Shift Type: Night shifts, 12-hour nights (overnight schedule; exact start/end times vary by unit), guaranteed 36 hours/week, including 4 weekend shifts per 4 weeks; holidays scheduled per unit coverage

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, trauma-focused nursing care in a busy Level 1 Emergency Department
- Rapidly assess, triage, and manage critically ill and injured patients with confidence
- Interpret telemetry/ECG strips and collaborate with the team to escalate care when needed
- Maintain strict sterile technique while performing Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
- Participate in and demonstrate competency in SIMs lab skills and on-floor procedures
- Work collaboratively with physicians, RT, pharmacy, and ancillary services to coordinate patient care
- Float between affiliated ER sites as needed to support patient volume and unit needs
- Document patient care accurately in Cerner and uphold unit policies, including safety and appearance/fit-test requirements
Qualifications
- Active RN license (eligible to submit license; hiring team may accept waiting submissions)
- Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience (posting notes 2 years ER experience)
- At least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience (required)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)
- TNCC and/or ATCN preferred (nice-to-have)
- Comfortable reading telemetry strips and using Phillips monitor systems
- Able to float between facilities and have reliable personal vehicle for travel assignments
- Willingness to complete and pass intake assessments (DYS exam prior to accepting; day 1 pass/fail orientation exams and SIMs lab competencies)
Education
- Active RN license in appropriate state
- BSN (listed in posting)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Cerner EMR charting and documentation workflows
- Strong trauma assessment and emergency intervention skills
- Ability to maintain sterile field and perform Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing care
- Telemetry/ECG strip interpretation skills
- Experience with burn care, pediatric transfer processes, and spinal cord/TBI considerations
- Comfort working with ventilated patients in collaboration with respiratory therapy
- Familiarity with emergency department flow, triage, and high-volume patient management
