Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document resident conditions and report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Assist with safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
- Support mealtime and hydration needs, including safe feeding assistance when required
- Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for residents and their families
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current LNA/license as required by New Hampshire (Licensed Nursing Assistant)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain promptly)
- Comfortable working a 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM schedule and able to commit to a 5-day local schedule
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a patient-first attitude
- Prior experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus but eager, caring candidates will be considered
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of state-approved LNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and resident care standards
- Ability to safely assist with transfers, ambulation and mobility aids
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families and clinical teams
