Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ED
• Rapidly assess, triage and prioritize patient needs to ensure timely interventions
• Administer treatments and medications safely and according to protocol
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort while educating patients and families
• Assist with rapid response and critical interventions when acute situations arise

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) credential — active and in good standing
• Emergency Department (ED) experience required; ED-focused background preferred
• Ability to work nights, days, weekends and holidays as needed to cover open shifts
• Comfortable working 3x12-hour shifts
• ENPC certification is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency department nursing knowledge and acute care comfort
• Skill in rapid assessment and clinical decision-making in high-acuity situations
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-based, fast-paced environment
• Clear communication skills with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
• Adaptability to changing schedules and patient volumes
