Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct and deliver high-quality physical therapy services across the hospital, ensuring patient-centered care
• Assess patients thoroughly and develop individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and function
• Administer appropriate physical therapy modalities and monitor treatment effectiveness
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with policy and standards
• Lead and coordinate department operations, collaborating with managers and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities to enhance patient outcomes and department performance
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, home programs, and safe mobility strategies
• Manage and maintain therapy equipment and ensure infection control/sterile technique standards are met

Qualifications

• Current California licensure as a Physical Therapist (required)
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification (current)
• Three (3) or more years of physical therapy experience preferred
• Proven ability to perform patient assessments across the lifespan — neonatal to geriatric populations
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; team-player mindset
• Familiarity with documentation standards and regulatory compliance in a hospital setting
• Basic computer skills and comfort using Microsoft Office and electronic records

• Basic computer knowledge and Microsoft Office proficiency
