Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a Med-Surg unit during 12-hour night shifts
- Perform thorough nursing assessments and collaborate with the care team to develop and update individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following facility protocols
- Monitor patient status closely and escalate changes in condition to providers in a timely manner
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery and safe transitions of care
- Document care clearly and concisely in the patient record to ensure continuity across shifts
- Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring colleagues and participating in team-based problem solving
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) — as reflected in job title and primary skills
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (posting lists Experience: 2)
- Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing (Med Surg / CRPU experience noted)
- Comfort and experience working night shift 12-hour rotations
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong Med-Surg clinical knowledge and patient assessment skills
- Proficiency in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Effective clinical judgment and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Clear communication and teamwork skills to coordinate care across disciplines
- Accurate and timely clinical documentation
