Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered telemetry nursing care to adults on the unit
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes that require intervention
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about condition management, medications, and discharge plans
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations with clinical confidence
• Maintain meticulous documentation in the electronic health record and support continuity of care during handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — state requirements apply
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (telemetry or med-surg experience preferred)
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification highly preferred
• Demonstrated experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry alarms
• Strong clinical judgement, excellent communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and response protocols
• Skillful medication administration and IV therapy management
• Accurate electronic health record documentation and charting practices
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage multiple patients safely
• Effective patient/family education and bedside communication
