Shift Type: Rotating night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour night shift; schedule may include weekends)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
- Perform IV starts, medication administration and monitor sedated patients with vigilance
- Provide focused pediatric emergency care using team nursing approaches
- Operate and manage Alaris infusion pumps and document care in Meditech reliably
- Deliver clear patient and family education during stressful situations to improve outcomes
- Collaborate closely with physicians, mid-level providers and multidisciplinary staff to ensure seamless patient flow
- Maintain strict adherence to scanning, medication safety and unit policies to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Active Kansas RN license (required)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC and NIH certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (Emergency Dept experience preferred)
- Travel RN experience or prior work in a large facility/52+ bed ED is highly desirable
- TNCC and Meditech experience are nice-to-have but not mandatory
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong emergency assessment and triage skills in high-acuity settings
- Proficiency with Alaris infusion systems and Meditech EMR
- Expertise in IV starts, medication administration and procedural sedation monitoring
- Comfort caring for pediatric patients within a fast-paced ER environment
- Excellent communication, teamwork and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Understanding of common ER patient ratios and ability to work effectively within team nursing models
