Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients, making timely, patient-focused decisions
- Initiate, titrate and monitor vasopressors and other advanced hemodynamic therapies
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and intervene to prevent complications
- Document care accurately and efficiently in Meditech to ensure continuity and safety
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff for coordinated patient plans
- Support and educate patients and their families during stressful ICU stays with compassion
- Adhere to ACLS/BLS protocols and maintain required certifications during clinical care
- Float to other units as needed and adapt quickly to changing patient care environments
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- NIH certification required
- Experience managing vasopressors and caring for high-acuity patients
- Meditech experience preferred
- Reliable attendance and professionalism for consistent weekend coverage
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN or diploma) — active RN licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care knowledge including hemodynamics and ventilator basics
- Comfortable titrating vasopressors and responding to acute changes
- Proficiency with Meditech documentation systems
- Solid cardiac monitoring and ACLS-driven decision making
- Excellent communication and teamwork in high-stress settings
- Ability to prioritize in 1:2 ICU patient ratio environments
