Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT exams (head, cervical spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis) following department protocols
• Execute CT stroke protocol and CTA studies accurately and promptly to support emergency care
• Operate and optimize Siemens Somatom Plus 128 slice CT for routine and advanced studies
• Document exams and results in Meditech and manage images via FUJI Synapse PACS
• Provide patient-centered care — prepare patients, ensure safety, and communicate clearly
• Collaborate with ED, inpatient teams, and other imaging staff to prioritize urgent studies
• Step in to support radiography/X-ray coverage as needed

Qualifications

• Active KSBHA license (required)
• Minimum of 2 years CT experience (position lists 2 years; preferred 2-3+ years)
• Comfortable working independently and solving problems in a fast-paced setting
• Experience with Siemens CT scanners and ability to back up X-ray/radiography preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in CT scanning techniques and CTA protocols
• Familiarity with CT stroke protocols and emergency imaging workflows
• Experience using PACS (FUJI Synapse) and EMR systems (Meditech)
• Knowledge of Siemens Somatom Plus 128 slice CT operation
• Strong patient care, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to work well with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to variable ED volumes
