Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents, focusing on safety and dignity
- Administer medications accurately and document all interventions thoroughly
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in condition promptly to the care team
- Perform wound care and routine clinical treatments as ordered
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and follow individualized care plans
- Support residents with activities of daily living while encouraging independence
- Communicate clearly with families and coworkers to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in Massachusetts or eligibility to obtain one quickly
- Active CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab settings preferred
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
- Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a resident-centered mindset
Education
- LPN diploma or vocational nursing certificate from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care, restorative nursing, and ADL support
- Comfortable with electronic charting and timely clinical documentation
- Good assessment skills and the ability to escalate clinical concerns appropriately
- Teamwork, time management, and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
