Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor and document patient condition, reporting changes to the team
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
- Educate residents and families about care plans and daily needs
- Support admissions, transfers, and discharges with professional bedside manner
- Maintain infection control, safety standards, and facility policies
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential in good standing
- Completion of an accredited LPN program
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Experience in rehab, long-term care, or skilled nursing preferred
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Education
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program or equivalent diploma
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate charting
- Basic patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
- Infection control, wound care basics, and safety protocols
- Teamwork, time management, and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
- Compassionate resident-centered care and family communication
