Shift Type: Night shift (NOC), 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, nights with coverage that includes every 3rd weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care to patients and their families
- Monitor maternal and newborn status closely, interpreting fetal monitoring and vital signs
- Assist with GYN surgical care and pediatric needs as required by the unit
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians and the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, family-centered care
- Perform newborn care procedures and support safe transitions to postpartum care
- Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, postpartum recovery and newborn care in a clear, reassuring way
- Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately in the medical record
- Respond quickly to emergent situations following unit protocols and ACLS/PALS guidelines
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
- Healthcare Provider BLS required
- ACLS and PALS required for AGH LDRP
- LDRP experience or strong background in labor & delivery, newborn/postpartum care preferred
- NRP and STABLE certifications preferred
- Comfort with GYN surgical care and basic pediatric care as practiced on-site
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum nursing practices
- Competence in newborn care and neonatal transition assessment
- Familiarity with fetal monitoring interpretation and maternal/newborn emergency response
- Skilled in family-centered care and patient education
- Strong clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently on night shift while coordinating care with day teams
