Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Andover Manor Rehab & Nursing
- Administer medications and treatments within the LPN scope of practice accurately and safely
- Monitor and document patient status, changes, and responses to interventions
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and care staff to deliver coordinated care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living and ensure resident comfort and dignity
- Communicate clearly with residents and families to support effective care and education
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control best practices
Qualifications
- Valid Massachusetts LPN license (required)
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care or rehabilitation preferred
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Valid LPN licensure in Massachusetts
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic clinical assessments
- Charting and documentation best practices (electronic or paper charting)
- Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
- Teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary staff
- Empathy, patience, and resident-centered care approach
