Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and intake evaluations
- Provide evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy to patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Document clinical encounters clearly and timely in the medical record
- Perform risk assessments and intervene appropriately to ensure safety
- Support continuity of care during a registry coverage assignment and assist with handoffs
Qualifications
- Licensed Psychologist credential (PSY) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Active California license preferred or eligible for California licensure
- Experience in mental health assessment and psychotherapy
- Comfort working in a secure correctional medical facility setting preferred
- Strong clinical documentation skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to complete a one-week on-site orientation prior to assignment
Education
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology for Psychologist role
- Master of Social Work (MSW) for LCSW candidates
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of mental health diagnostics and treatment modalities
- Skilled in individual and group therapy techniques
- Competent with clinical documentation and treatment planning
- Crisis intervention and risk management skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed care approach
