Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct nursing care to residents as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document per facility policy
- Monitor resident condition, recognize changes, and report to the interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to support individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medication records
- Support infection control practices and a safe, respectful environment for residents
- Assist with activities of daily living and promote resident comfort and dignity
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — required
- Active license in Massachusetts or eligibility to practice in MA preferred
- Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM)
- Strong clinical judgment, reliable documentation habits, and teamwork mindset
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain upon hire
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
- Clear communication with residents, families, and clinical team members
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced skilled nursing setting
- Familiarity with long-term care workflows and infection control best practices
- Accurate charting and comfort using electronic or paper clinical records
