Shift Type: Night shifts, 3x12-hour nights per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; rotating weekends (every other / every third) and float required
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in the Oncology Pod, prioritizing patient safety and dignity
- Triage patients and rapidly assess acuity to direct care and resources effectively
- Start and maintain IV lines, administer blood products, and manage central lines with precision
- Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to initiate timely interventions
- Manage ventilated patients and support respiratory therapies including CPAP/BiPAP
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and collaborate with the team on ventilator/respiratory care decisions
- Administer IV vasopressors and other critical medications per protocol
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC to ensure continuity and compliance
- Work collaboratively with respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services and unit support staff
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure in good standing (required)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience (required)
- EPIC experience required — you’ll be charting and communicating in EPIC daily
- BCLS and ACLS required; NIHSS and PALS required per facility guidelines
- Comfortable with IV starts, phlebotomy, blood product administration and central line care
- Experience with telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and ventilator care
- Ability and willingness to float between units as needed
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and triage skills in a high-acuity emergency setting
- Proficiency with EPIC charting and electronic documentation workflows
- Telemetry/cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
- Central line management and sterile technique
- Ventilator management and ABG interpretation
- Familiarity with isolation precautions and oncology patient needs
- Calm decision-making under pressure and clear interdisciplinary communication
