Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnose mental health conditions
• Deliver individual and group evidence-based therapy to support rehabilitation
• Develop and implement treatment plans that promote safety and recovery
• Collaborate with custody and clinical teams to coordinate care
• Document clinical encounters clearly and on time to maintain continuity of care
• Perform crisis intervention and de-escalation when needed
• Contribute to program development and quality improvement within the mental health unit

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Experience in adult mental health practice; correctional or forensic experience is a strong plus
• Proven ability to conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and provide psychotherapy
• Comfortable working in a correctional environment and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records

Education

• For Psychologist: Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) typically required
• For LCSW: Master of Social Work (MSW) and clinical licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Trauma-informed care and behavioral health approaches
• Clear, professional clinical documentation and case management
• Team collaboration and effective communication across disciplines
