Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess patients using comprehensive fall risk and functional assessments
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans for musculoskeletal and post-operative conditions
- Provide expert post-operative care for joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs, and other orthopedic procedures
- Treat a wide range of diagnoses including tendonitis, fractures, disc herniation, and chronic low back pain
- Deliver age-appropriate care across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on home programs, injury prevention, and fall reduction strategies
- Document patient progress clearly and timely to support continuity of care
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Delaware or eligible for Delaware licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable managing musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions and post-operative care
- Experience with fall risk assessment required
- Ability to work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient evaluation and assessment techniques
- Proven post-operative care and total joint replacement management
- Experience managing musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions
- Competence with fall risk assessments and prevention strategies
- Familiarity with vestibular disorders, Parkinson's disease, CVA (stroke), and concussion (preferred)
- Ability to design home exercise programs and patient education materials
- Strong documentation and clinical reasoning skills
