Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients using comprehensive fall risk and functional assessments
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans for musculoskeletal and post-operative conditions
• Provide expert post-operative care for joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs, and other orthopedic procedures
• Treat a wide range of diagnoses including tendonitis, fractures, disc herniation, and chronic low back pain
• Deliver age-appropriate care across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on home programs, injury prevention, and fall reduction strategies
• Document patient progress clearly and timely to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in Delaware or eligible for Delaware licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfortable managing musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions and post-operative care
• Experience with fall risk assessment required
• Ability to work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient evaluation and assessment techniques
• Proven post-operative care and total joint replacement management
• Experience managing musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions
• Competence with fall risk assessments and prevention strategies
• Familiarity with vestibular disorders, Parkinson's disease, CVA (stroke), and concussion (preferred)
• Ability to design home exercise programs and patient education materials
• Strong documentation and clinical reasoning skills
