Shift Type: Rotating shifts: Day 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM; Evening 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM; Night 11:15 PM - 7:15 AM (rotating schedule; specific days vary and may include weekends)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, age-appropriate personal care to residents with compassion and respect
- Take and record vital signs and measure output accurately to support care plans
- Observe, document, and report changes in physical or mental condition to the nursing team
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Implement restorative care techniques such as range-of-motion exercises and use of assistive devices
- Follow infection control, universal precautions, and body mechanics to keep residents and staff safe
- Collaborate with the treatment team to support individualized care goals and treatment plans
Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) credential required
- Minimum six months experience in a long-term care (LTC) facility
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Workers to be obtained within six months of employment
- Basic nursing skills including taking vital signs and recognizing abnormal signs
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand simple sentences in English
- Demonstrated patience, tact, and ability to work with challenging behaviors
- Previous work experience in Hawaii is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) credential required
Knowledge & Skills
- Direct patient care and age-specific patient assessment
- Infection control, universal precautions, and first aid
- Patient hygiene, bodily care, and restorative care techniques
- Observation, documentation, and accurate reporting
- Basic medical and nursing terminology
- Good oral and written communication and teamwork skills
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse populations
