Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
- Administer medications and follow physician orders safely and accurately
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient status, escalating concerns promptly
- Assist with activities of daily living while promoting patient dignity and independence
- Support rehabilitation goals by collaborating with therapists and nursing staff
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and team members
- Participate in shift handoffs and interdisciplinary care planning to ensure continuity
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted LPN license (Massachusetts) or compact equivalent where applicable
- CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehab settings preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
Education
- LPN diploma or practical nursing certificate from an accredited program
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid practical nursing skills including medication administration and wound care
- Familiarity with infection control standards and resident-centered care
- Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during a busy 12-hour shift
- Collaborative approach working with nurses, therapists and support staff
