Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the perioperative team to optimize patient throughput and surgical flow
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling to ensure safe, efficient operations
• Precept and orient new team members, fostering clinical growth and confidence
• Collaborate with the Surgical Services Manager to supervise RNs, technologists, and technicians
• Maintain and manage surgical preference cards to support surgeons and anesthesia providers
• Perform direct perioperative nursing when needed to maintain patient safety and quality
• Use independent judgment to resolve day-to-day clinical and operational challenges
• Support initiatives that enhance surgical efficiencies and improve patient experience

Qualifications

• Current Colorado RN license in good standing (required)
• Minimum of 2 years OR (Operating Room) experience (required)
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience (required)
• Cerner EMR experience (required)
• CNOR and CRNFA certifications (listed as required/desirable in job spec)
• AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (current)
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative and Operating Room nursing expertise
• Clinical supervision, staffing and scheduling skills
• Patient throughput and surgical flow optimization
• Preference card management and surgical documentation
• Experience with orthopedic, general, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT and interventional pain procedures
• Gastroenterology/Endoscopy lab experience (desired)
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR and electronic health records
• Strong communication, critical thinking and precepting abilities
