Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide excellent labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum nursing care in a family-centered environment
• Monitor fetal status and intervene appropriately using basic fetal monitoring skills
• Care for newborns immediately after delivery and coordinate safe handoff to newborn care teams
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives and interdisciplinary staff to support safe deliveries and GYN surgical care
• Educate and support families through labor, delivery and early postpartum care
• Document clinical findings accurately and maintain continuity of care across shifts
• Participate in unit-based safety and quality initiatives to improve perinatal outcomes

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required at time of submission
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required
• Basic Fetal Monitoring skills required
• NRP and STABLE preferred
• Previous Labor and Delivery experience preferred; will train qualified RNs with perinatal experience
• Comfort working in a family-centered LDRP environment and assisting with GYN surgical care
