Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans grounded in best practices
- Provide individual and group therapy interventions to support patient recovery
- Perform crisis intervention and safety planning when needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, custody staff, and support services to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and charting in accordance with facility standards
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve meaningful outcomes
- Contribute to a safe, therapeutic environment through adherence to facility policies and ethical standards
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Psychologist license (PSY) OR active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license
- Clinical experience in mental health settings; correctional/forensic experience is a plus
- Comfort working within structured facility environments and following site-specific protocols
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
- Willingness to complete the one-week orientation and facility onboarding requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and crisis intervention
- Ability to document clearly and meet clinical charting standards
- Understanding of safety, confidentiality, and ethical standards in clinical care
- Comfort collaborating with custody staff and other institutional teams
