Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on nursing care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the care team
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge processes with clear communication
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and support staff to create and follow care plans
- Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence when possible
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (eligible to practice in Massachusetts preferred)
- Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Demonstrated ability to work a 12-hour day shift (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a resident-centered mindset
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing helpful but not strictly required
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid medication administration and charting skills
- Basic wound care and skin integrity awareness
- Familiarity with care planning and documentation best practices
- Good clinical observation and reporting abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced long-term care setting
