Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to oncology and BMT patients in a 10-bed ICU
• Manage ventilators, BIPAP, and titrating vasoactive drips to stabilize critically ill patients
• Perform total care duties including trach care, dressing changes and turning
• Operate and monitor CRRT, A-lines and IV pumps when required
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR and participate in shift handoffs
• Adhere to unit policies, report times (0645/1845), and participate in rotating weekends

Qualifications

• Active RN license (valid in the assignment state or eligible for compact licensure)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (strong ICU experience required)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Demonstrated competence with ventilator management and titrating drips
• Familiarity with CRRT is a plus and preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR or similar electronic charting systems
• Ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team and maintain composure in high-acuity situations

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing skills focused on oncology/BMT populations
• Ventilator and BIPAP management
• Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) knowledge
• Hemodynamic monitoring including A-line management
• IV pump operation and medication titration
• Trach care and complex wound/dressing management
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR and flow-track monitoring
