Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations following established protocols and safety standards
• Position and prepare patients with care and clear communication to ensure comfort and accuracy
• Operate MRI equipment safely and troubleshoot basic technical issues
• Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to deliver timely diagnostic images
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper image archiving in PACS
• Adhere to MRI safety policies, including screening for contraindications and managing implants

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience
• ARRT (R) MRI certification or equivalent registry required or strongly preferred
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification
• Valid state licensure as required by Kansas for radiologic technologists
• Strong patient care skills and the ability to communicate clearly with diverse patients
• Willingness to work evening shift hours and complete a 13-week travel assignment

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, MRI, or related field preferred
• Completion of an accredited MRI program or equivalent clinical training
• ARRT (R) registry recommended

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI imaging protocols
• Proficiency with MRI safety zones and screening procedures
• Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record systems
• Able to position patients accurately for a variety of MRI studies
• Comfortable with IV contrast administration workflows and safety monitoring
• Good clinical judgment, attention to detail, and strong teamwork skills
