Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive staging workups and create clear, evidence-based treatment plans
- Formulate and initiate chemotherapy and immunotherapy regimens in coordination with radiation and surgical oncology
- Provide clinical oversight of infusion delivery and ensure safe chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration
- Coordinate patient care across regional health systems to ensure seamless transitions and follow-up
- Collaborate closely with physicians, NPs/PAs, infusion nurses, and support staff to deliver multidisciplinary care
- Participate in prior authorization, patient navigation, and tumor registry activities to support patient access
- Offer procedure support when appropriate — bone marrow biopsy experience is a valued plus
- Document thoroughly in EMR (Mosaiq/Meditech) and support quality, safety, and credentialing processes
Qualifications
- Active NP (or PA) license with ability to obtain North Dakota license (ND license required for credentialing)
- DEA registration required or ability to obtain DEA
- Experience in outpatient medical oncology with chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration preferred
- Familiarity with Mosaiq and Meditech EMR systems
- Comfort collaborating with radiation oncology, surgical oncology, and multidisciplinary teams
- Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to return credentialing packet quickly to meet onboarding timelines
- Ability to provide coverage at least three days per week (Mon-Wed or Tue-Thu)
Education
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) — APP credentialed (graduate degree for NP or PA program completion)
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in outpatient medical oncology workflows and infusion oversight
- Knowledge of staging workups, oncology treatment planning, and toxicity management
- Skilled in chemotherapy and immunotherapy protocols and safety monitoring
- Experience coordinating care across multiple health systems and specialists
- Proficiency with Mosaiq and Meditech EMR documentation and order entry
- Familiarity with prior authorization processes, tumor registry documentation, and patient navigation
- Strong communication skills for patient education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and care coordination
