Shift Type: Rotating nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts); schedule meets 36 hrs/week (typically three 12-hour nights) and includes every other weekend

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, triage and stabilize patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting
- Provide skilled, compassionate patient care consistent with ED competencies
- Perform ED procedures and interventions safely and effectively
- Document patient encounters accurately using MediTech (with Expanse coming online)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, unit secretaries and PCTs to optimize patient flow
- Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment such as GE monitors, Baxter pumps and Zoll monitors
- Maintain strong communication with patients and families to enhance patient experience
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (emergency/acute care experience preferred)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
- Preferred/additional: ENPC and CPI
- Comfortable with ED competencies and working with patient ratios typically 4:1 (may surge to 5:1)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong emergency department clinical judgment and procedural skills
- Familiarity with documentation systems (MediTech; Expanse onboarding planned)
- Experience using GE monitors, Baxter pumps and Zoll monitors
- Excellent communication and patient-connection skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, team-oriented ED environment
