Shift Type: Days vary (schedule determined at submission), 7:00 PM - 7:15 AM NOC (night shift, 12+ hour nights; 36-hour guarantee)

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patient status using the Nursing Process and document findings accurately in the chart
- Develop individualized plans of care based on comprehensive patient assessments
- Implement evidence-based nursing interventions and maintain timely documentation
- Evaluate patient responses to care and update plans to ensure optimal outcomes
- Oversee and delegate aspects of the patient plan of care to unit staff with clear direction
- Provide supervision and guidance to co-workers to maintain safe, effective care delivery
- Participate in unit duties and projects as assigned to support high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Active Michigan nursing license (LARA) - must be current and in good standing
- Registered Nurse (RN) with BLS (AHA) certification current
- Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience required
- Med/Surg and Med/Surg Observation experience required
- Recent travel nurse experience highly preferred
- Two supervisory references completed within the last two years
- Will not accept more than 3 days of recent time off (RTO) — please confirm availability at submission
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of the Nursing Process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
- Patient assessment and clinical observation skills for Med/Surg and observation units
- Care planning, accurate documentation, and electronic charting proficiency
- Delegation and supervision skills to coordinate unit staff effectively
- Experience with oncology, obstetrics, hospice, and general medical & surgical patient populations a plus
- Leadership, teamwork, and clear communication under fast-paced conditions
