Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour night shifts (schedule varies; may include weekends)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and manage critically ill patients in the ICU and rapid response settings with clinical precision
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, ventilator parameters, and neuro status to catch changes early
- Respond swiftly as part of the rapid response team to stabilize patients and support positive outcomes
- Administer medications and manage complex infusions and IV pump therapies safely
- Operate and troubleshoot specialty equipment such as ventilators, continuous EEG, EVDs and Arctic Sun
- Document thoroughly in the Meditech EMR to ensure clear, accurate patient records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapy and support staff
- Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families during critical moments
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Colorado license or current compact state licensure acceptable)
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
- NIHSS certification (required)
- Clinical experience in ICU/critical care and rapid response environments
- Comfortable with cardiac monitoring and ventilator management
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and function in a fast-paced critical care unit
Education
- Active RN license required; ADN or BSN in Nursing preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care assessment and prioritization skills
- Ventilator management and weaning fundamentals
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation and cardiac monitoring expertise
- Experience with IV pumps, tube feed pumps, EVD/LD/Bold management and continuous EEG
- Neurological monitoring familiarity (NIHSS, lumbar drains, Licox)
- Comfort using Arctic Sun cooling systems and other advanced devices
- Clear, timely clinical documentation and effective interdisciplinary communication
