Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in the acute care/inpatient rehab setting to identify rehabilitation needs
• Develop individualized care plans that promote recovery and functional gains
• Deliver therapeutic techniques across orthopedics, neurology and cardiopulmonary cases
• Supervise and coordinate therapeutic care with PTAs, OTs, COTAs and rehab techs
• Document clinical findings and progress thoroughly using Cerner PowerChart
• Communicate evaluation results and care plans clearly with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team
• Use patient lifting equipment (SARA+, Stedy, Maximove) and mobility aids safely to maximize outcomes
• Contribute to a positive patient experience with 1:1 patient ratios and focused care

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience (per job record); at least 1 year acute care experience preferred
• Comfortable with orthopedics, neurology and cardiopulmonary patient populations
• Experience documenting in Cerner PowerChart is a plus

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy

• Care plan development and goal-oriented therapeutic planning
• Therapeutic interventions across orthopedics, neurology and cardiopulmonary

• Ability to coordinate care within an interdisciplinary rehab team
