Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety from pre-op through PACU handoff
• Prepare and maintain sterile field, instruments, and OR environment for elective surgical cases
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to coordinate smooth, efficient procedures
• Assess patient condition and provide one-to-one care as required by unit protocols
• Accurately document patient care and perioperative events in Meditech
• Adhere to unit guidelines, hospital policies, and best practices to maintain top-tier clinical standards
• Be a flexible, team-oriented contributor who helps maintain a positive OR culture

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with perioperative/Operating Room experience (Minimum: 1 year of current hospital acute care OR experience required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications — required
• Hands-on experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Comfortable supporting elective surgical cases including Ortho/Spine and Cardiovascular procedures
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and excellent communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
• Operating Room equipment familiarity and patient positioning
• Meditech electronic medical record navigation and documentation
• Clinical judgment for 1:1 patient care in the surgical setting
• Familiarity with elective case types: Ortho/Spine, CV, General, Plastics, GYN, Robotics, Urology
