Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to gastroenterology clinic patients within scope of LPN licensure
Take and record vital signs and perform patient assessments to support provider decision-making
Triage patient calls promptly and appropriately to ensure safe, timely care
Process medication refills and assist with medication administration as directed
Complete necessary prior authorizations to keep patient treatments moving smoothly
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinic staff to coordinate care
Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to address patient needs and workflows
Provide direction and oversight to CNAs and Schedulers to support clinic operations

Qualifications

Current State LPN license required
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
Comfortable triaging patient calls, handling medication refills, and processing prior authorizations
Ability to collaborate with providers, coordinators, clinical managers/supervisors and RNs
Experience giving direction to CNAs and Schedulers is a plus

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN-level)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
Clinical triage and telephonic patient evaluation
Medication refill processing and basic medication administration
Prior authorization workflow and documentation
Strong patient liaison and communication skills
Team collaboration within interdisciplinary clinical settings
Supervisory skills for CNAs and front-office scheduling staff
Adherence to state and federal licensure and continuing education standards
