Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies and disease
• Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilation (Servo I, Hamilton, V60, Astral) to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform ABG analysis and interpret results to guide treatment
• Deliver noninvasive support including CPAP and BiPAP therapies
• Administer nebulizer treatments and chest physiotherapy (CPT) as indicated
• Document patient assessments and treatments accurately in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Maintain and ensure proper functioning and safety of respiratory equipment

Qualifications

• Current RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• BLS, ACLS and NRP required (candidates without these certifications will not be considered)
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience
• Meditech EMR experience preferred by the director
• Trauma experience is a plus and will make you stand out

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong mechanical ventilation skills with Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• Proficiency in ABG sampling and interpretation
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and noninvasive ventilation strategies
• Skilled in nebulizer therapy and chest physiotherapy techniques
• Comfortable documenting care in Meditech EMR
• Critical thinking, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment
