Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the Quality Management & Accreditation program across the system to improve patient safety and quality outcomes
- Design, implement, and maintain accreditation and compliance strategies and ensure readiness for regulatory surveys
- Oversee infection prevention and control, employee health screening, credentialing, and risk management activities
- Integrate quality measurement into the EHR and produce actionable data reports to drive performance improvement
- Coach and supervise a high-performing team, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and professional development
- Investigate complaints and quality concerns, produce findings and recommendations, and report outcomes to executive leadership and the Board
- Drive rapid cycle improvement (PDSA) initiatives and advance SEARHC’s Quality Management concepts and standards
Qualifications
- RN license or comparable clinical degree with relevant experience in quality management or performance improvement
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) required within 18 months of hire
- Minimum five years of healthcare administration or performance improvement management experience
- Minimum three years supervising healthcare professionals
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and change management skills
- Comfortable presenting to internal and external audiences including physicians and executive leadership
Education
- RN license or comparable clinical degree required
- Master’s degree in a health-related or business field preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, PDSA cycles, and quality measurement/reporting
- Experience with accreditation standards and regulatory compliance
- Infection prevention and control, patient safety, and risk management expertise
- Familiarity with EHR integration for quality metrics and data reporting
- Skills in program planning, implementation, evaluation, and financial/ethical analysis of health programs
- Ability to lead, mentor, and maintain a high-performing team and to influence cross-departmental change
