Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the Cost Accounting and Decision Support systems to deliver accurate service line profitability and monthly P&Ls
• Lead productivity system oversight and publish physician practice P&Ls and practice scorecards
• Develop financial feasibility and reimbursement templates using STRATA to evaluate ROI, NPV, IRR and payback for capital projects
• Coordinate with leadership to review service line performance and create action plans for unfavorable variances
• Prepare and compile data and reports for audits, insurance renewals, FEMA, Single Audits, GME reporting, and external agencies (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA)
• Train and mentor managers, directors and the decision support team to interpret productivity and financial reporting tools
• Support software implementations and maintenance activities including STRATA forecasting, ERP components and leasing software
• Respond to ad hoc reporting requests and generate audit-ready reports for annual financial review and cost report filing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Minimum of 10 years experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support (required)
• Experience with STRATA financial software or a similar system (required)
• Healthcare experience (required)
• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Health Administration (MHA) preferred
• Financial and/or healthcare certifications preferred
• Experience with hospital contracting, reimbursement, bundled payments and physician reimbursement preferred
• Demonstrated experience mentoring or supervising staff

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Master's degree (MBA or MHA) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Financial modeling, feasibility studies and capital evaluation (ROI, NPV, IRR)
• Service line profitability and monthly P&L preparation
• Cost accounting, budgeting and decision support methodologies
• STRATA system knowledge (including rolling forecast module) and STRATA forecasting experience
• Productivity analysis and forecasting
• Reporting to external rating agencies (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA)
• ERP and leasing software implementation oversight
• Ad hoc report generation and audit-ready report preparation
